The Northern Nevada EMS Consortium (NNEMSC) is a non-profit organization with the mission to support Northern Nevadans who utilize emergency air medical services, support rural Fire, EMS, and rural Health Systems in Northern Nevada.

The NNEMSC is managed by a Board of Directors made up of Northern Nevada Citizens. This BOD will be responsible for distributions of funds and lead fundraising efforts across Northern Nevada.

One goal of the NNEMSC will be to support the Northern Nevada Air Medical Membership for all the Consortium Member Counties which include to date:

Elko County, Lander County, Eureka County, Humboldt County, Pershing County, and White Pine County.

There are various supporting air medical aircraft in all six counties for this program supported through NNEMSC including ELKO AIRONE rotor wing helicopter based at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital as well as the fixed wing airplane located at the Elko Regional Airport. We also have supporting aircraft, HGH AIRONE, based at Humboldt General Hospital in Winnemucca and backup as needed and additional aircraft in White Pine County.

Many local businesses have  donated funds to provide all permanent residents of the respective counties coverage. This means that no permanent resident of any of the above six counties will receive a balance bill for air medical transport with MedX AirOne. Residents of these counties will not have the burden of the unruly and unreasonable escalating cost of air medical transport, which is so important in our rural community.

This collaboration of services is in line with the beliefs of NNEMSC, the patient and community should be the singular focus of health care services and not profits made from the sale of individual and group memberships. For every transport, a letter will go out to each patient reminding them of those who so kindly donated to NNEMSC in support of patients positively affected by this program.

NNEMSC will also provide support to rural ground EMS, Fire, and Health Systems who have limited forms of fundraising to purchase equipment, provide higher level education to local providers, up to and including the need for medical control for rural services. The NNEMSC was created to provide a non- Profit source for donations to support the health and well-being of Rural Northern Nevada. As we grow, we sincerely hope to be able to further donate funds in support of all our health care needs in our communities across Northern Nevada.
